  • Genre: Soccer Management MMO

  • Available In: Windows and Mac

  • Status: Beta Test

DEVELOPMENT

Soccerverse was at first intended to be a P2E soccer management game, in the vein of venerable titles like Championship Manager. However, the creators quickly learned that there is more to running a soccer club than just selecting a roster. Indeed, there are many hats to wear in the day-to-day management of a soccer team, and the metaverse was built with that in mind. The Xaya blockchain-based play-to-earn game formerly known as Soccer Manager Elite has been relaunched as "Soccerverse" in an effort to more accurately convey the diverse range of roles that can be taken on by players in the game. This project is being developed by Soccerverse Ltd. As a part of this current project, Soccerverse has hired game industry veteran Andrew Gore to the team. Currently, the game is available in its Beta version.

GAMEPLAY OVERVIEW

Football managers, club owners, and scouts may all find their niche in the community-driven, multiplayer football management simulator known as Soccerverse. Similar to the real world of soccer, there are always fresh aspects to discover in this game. However, the number of open positions is restricted due to the fact that there are only 300 clubs in Soccerverse and each team may only have one manager. Good thing you can have many options for involvement in the game. You can be a soccer manager where you’ll get to pick the team, choose the tactics, attempt to buy and sell players and get paid for doing it. You can also become a shareholder but you must acquire fractional NFTs that represent individual shares in each club. Fans of Soccerverse can also become player agents. Each soccer club player can only have one agent, so they will have to compete with a lot of other people for the job.

TOKENOMICS

The Soccerverse economy is fueled by the in-game currency $SMC. You can earn in this game by playing the following roles:

  • Trader: You will buy and sell club and player shares between each other. The value of shares increases or decreases based on market demand.

  • Club Manager: All club managers get paid 0.0004% of the club’s weekly TV money.

  • Player Agent: Agents get paid 0.002% of the player’s weekly wage.

  • Club Shareholder: Club shareholders get paid 0.1% of the matchday income which will be split between all shareholders.

  • Player Shareholder: You can earn through dividends from regular player wages, earn from league prizes and others.

OVERALL IMPRESSION

I think Soccerverse as a football management simulation game can provide a way for gamers that have deep love and knowledge of football to experience the excitement of managing a team and making decisions that affect the outcome of matches. The game seems to have a rich and detailed simulation of the sport, including player tactics which will provide a deep and engaging experience for players that enjoy strategy games. The game also offers a high degree of replayability with its multiple seasons, leagues, and career modes to keep players engaged.

However, football management simulation games may not be for everyone as they can be complex and require a lot of time and dedication to play effectively. It’s possible that some people may find the gameplay repetitive or not engaging, as the games often involve a lot of data management and decision-making, with less emphasis on fast-paced action. With that, I hope that the developers will always have up-to-date player and team data to make their game more authentic and provide an immersive experience to sustain their football fan players.

Overall, I think this football management simulation game “Soccerverse” has the potential to be well-regarded by fans of the sport and strategy games, who appreciate the realistic simulation of club management and the challenge of building a successful team. If that sounds like you then better lookout for this project.
