GAME EVENTS AND TOURNAMENTS

• Nine Chronicles has a few things going on: there’s the on-going Express Crafting Event running until December 20, 2023, and the promotion of its valuable in-game item, the Golden Hourglass, which is designed to expedite the crafting time.

• NFL Rivals, the prominent football metaverse, kicked off its Cold Snap program on December 7. This program introduces new features for players, perfectly timed for the holiday season. Among the additions are Snowmen cards, which gradually transform into special edition player cards on specific dates and Power Passes that bring new gameplay elements.

• Axie Infinity has undergone a revamp of its Classic Version and initiated the Grand Tournament 2 on December 5. The revamp includes improvements to the interface and design, giving it a sleeker look. Additionally, they’ve introduced Gold, a new in-game resource! The Grand Tournament 2 offers exciting prizes for players, including Mystic Axie #1978, Origin Axies, and more.

• Citizen Conflict has revealed an upcoming esports competition, offering a substantial prize pool of $10,000 in $QORPO tokens. The tournament is scheduled to take place over five days, from December 18 to 23. Gaining momentum since its launch on the Epic Store, the web3 shooter game is poised to showcase its capabilities in the esports arena. The tournament will feature two distinct segments: Community Wars for individual competitors and Team Wars for group participation.

• The Bit Heroes Quest is hosting the World Boss Boost event, offering players the opportunity to gain enhanced rewards in the World Boss game mode until December 20. This event follows the conclusion of the Bit Harvest Thanksgiving event. • Forest Knight is hosting a series of winter events. Central to this event is the new Winter BattlePass, offering a series of festive challenges and exclusive rewards. NEW LAUNCHES AND UPDATE

• Following the release of Game Client 0.9.7, the team behind The Sandbox metaverse has now introduced Game Maker 0.9. This new launch brings a range of customizable templates and additional features, enhancing the toolkit available for creators to design more immersive experiences. The latest iteration of the no-code, free game development platform features the introduction of variables, which are instrumental in tracking player values in multiplayer settings. Additionally, the update includes the debut of the NFT Sensor and Power-Up functionalities, along with smart equipment capabilities. Creators can also explore many new templates, the Grid System, an improved user-friendly graphical user interface, enhanced debugging tools, and more.

• Big Time Studios has recently implemented a series of balancing adjustments to the in-game economy of Big Time, their action RPG. This latest economic revision focuses on refining the processes for Cosmetic Shard and Hourglass crafting. The modifications are specifically designed with the interests of Armory and Forge owners in mind, aiming to offer them fresh opportunities to leverage in the game.

• Aqua, an NFT marketplace for web3 gaming and gamers, has shut down in December, a decision that was attributed to growing numbe rof competitors in the field.

• Ahead of the global launch of their web3 title in January 2024, Skrice Studios, the creators behind Heroes of Mavia, a mobile blockchain base builder game, have released the official gameplay trailer. This move by the developers provides a sneak peek into the game's features and mechanics, setting the stage for its anticipated release early next year. The trailer provides a glimpse into the world of Heroes of Mavia, featuring a creature engaging in various in-game activities such as building bases with structures like turrets and barracks, as well as launching attacks on other players' bases.

NEW SEASONS

• Mighty Action Heroes, a top-down battle royale, launched Season 2: Heroic Ascent, on December 6. This season introduces a new collectible hero, beginner's bonuses, game balancing improvements, and new perks and quests. As part of the season, players are granted unlimited Perk Slots for all Heroes for a limited duration of two weeks.

• Alien Worlds, the space-themed metaverse centered around mining and land, commenced its 19th Season titled "Winter Warmers" on December 5. In this season, players can enjoy a 75% reduction in Shard consumption for weapons, and a 50% discount for both the fusion event and tool window sale. The Winter Warmers season is not only a year-ender but also marks a significant milestone in the ongoing progress of Alien Worlds.

• Kicking off Season 8 with the introduction of two new characters, Azazel and Bishop, Champions Arena, a turn-based RPG within the Gala Games ecosystem, has now added a new Champion named Akumu to this month's battle pass. This addition brings a fresh dynamic to the game, offering players new strategies and experiences in the ongoing season.

• Evermoon, the 5v5 MOBA game, is gearing up for its pre-beta phase starting in December. Although a specific date hasn't been announced, this upcoming phase marks a significant milestone in Evermoon's development. • "Heroes of the Flow," an auto-battle mobile game developed by Rouge Studio, has recently launched its alpha version. The alpha release allows players to experience the primary gameplay mechanics, offering insights into the strategic, turn-based elements that players will encounter in the game.

• The Sandbox has partnered with the legendary rapper from the 90s, Notorious B.I.G's music agency, marking the introduction of B.I.G into the metaverse on December 5. FUNDING

• Gacha Monsters, a web3 gaming studio, successfully raised a total of $3 million in its seed round. Animoca Brands led the funding, with participation from other contributors including Big Time, Infinity Venture, and more. The studio plans to utilize the funds for expansion and the development of an IP Metaverse. This metaverse is envisioned to encompass a range of content, including games, books, music, and more, providing a comprehensive entertainment experience.

• Animoca Brands, a leader in digital property rights within gaming and the open metaverse, recently disclosed a new round of funding amounting to US$11,888,888 for Mocaverse. This follows an initial investment of US$20 million. The latest funding round for Mocaverse saw participation from several prominent investors including Block1, OKX Ventures, Foresight Ventures, Polygon Ventures, Dapper Labs, among others.

• Endless Clouds, an emerging name in the mobile gaming industry, has secured over $2.5 million in funding. This substantial investment is set to propel the development and release of its two major projects: the expansive open-world MMORPG Treeverse and the competitive PvP brawler Capsule Heroes.
